I've been up there over a half dozen times, caught a lot of big Northern Pike & saw lots of wildlife including bears... had a bear tear our camp to pieces one year, while we were out fishing...

ive fished missinaibi years ago. im fact we shot a bear in the dump there about 15 years ago. we fished dog lake, and stayed at some indian's cottages. had a blast but never caught anything big. but alot of good eaters. i miss that country. i havent fished up there in alot of years.
Caught that one out of Lake Missinaibi up in the Chapleau Wilderness region in Northern Ontario on a Mann's 35' diving lure in bright chartruse right at dark. It's actually a blue pike/deepwater variation of the walleye. It was in a big school that we marked at 100 to 120' down in 180' of water during the day & then they started coming up right at sunset, so I put the deeper diver on while we were trolling. We were actually fishing for big Northern Pike & we thought the deep school were lake trout! LOL!!! Man, was I surprised when I saw he was a big walleye!

I really appreciate that and I did enjoy myself. Had I not been skeptical and accepted Kevins invite earlier I would have had a bigger "posse" LOL
Enjoy the time off and don't forget to keep an eye on us here, we are planning something big over the weekend :)
Thanks.
