Anyone whose screenname includes Turkeys and Beagle - is all right in my book. I have been learning to call turkeys in and I love rabbit hunting with my hounds!

Have a great day!

Hey,

Thank you for all you do. I should be more active on the forums because they are so interesting.

Take care and I hope all of us have a good 08-09 season. Be safe, have fun and shoot straight.

Pola

Good luck to you during this season too. Get a big deer and be sure to post your photo's so we can see it.

Just wanted to take a minute to thank you for being a member of the Women Deer Hunters group. I have been kind of busy this summer and haven't had a whole lot of time to spend on CamoSpace but the group has grown without me! I am pleased to see that we have 120 members in the group. Be sure to invite any of your friends that would like to join.

There are forum topics to add to or feel free to start one of your own. Deer hunting season is almost here for us in Maine but it has already arrived in other places. We would love to see your deer posted with a story of the hunt.

It would be a great time to post a venison recipe that we can try with the fresh venison that will be gracing our table.

Thanks again, gals, for making this such a great group. Good luck with your hunt!!

Thanks for the greeting -- Fall bow season just started on the 13th here in New Jersey but I think it's way too hot to hunt right now. I've got my places scouted out though.

Thanks 4 the add. Bow season doesn't start hear until Oct. but I'm also a waterfowl hunter and Teal season started this past weekend. I had planned to go but hurricane Ike "Fowled " that up. Maybe I'll get chance to go before it closes in 2 weeks. Hey, good hunting and God Bless.

Hey,

Just wanted to say, "HI". I hunt and fish in New Jersey and Maine. I am active with United Bowhunters of New Jersey, Traditonal Archers, NJ Outdoor Alliance, the NJ State Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs and am a hunter education instructor. I am also the secretary of the NJ Quail Project.

If you are intested in some of our activities, just let me know and I'll keep you posted.

In September, I'll be the instructor for New Jersey DFW's Becoming an Outdoor Woman's "Joy of Dogs". Even in this restrictive state, it's good to find fun things to do!

Thanks for the info... I will definitely keep that in mind if I am looking for activities to do, or even just to connect with a few other hunting gals in NJ.

We're up there in the North Maine Woods and it's big timber country. It's not easy hunting but we love it. In 2004 my honey harvested a 10-pointer that weighed in at 201+ the day AFTER it was field dressed.

Way up there in the "county". I have never fished or hunted up there. We fish on and around our camp on Nicatous Lake and we hunt right in our back yard at home. Enjoy CamoSpace. It is downright addicting!

Congrats to your hubby. I killed a 213# buck in 1990. I think that was my second deer that I ever shot. Most of the bucks that I get around home dress out at about 180 so they are not as big as those northern bucks.
