Not since a couple of weekends ago. I'll be out next weekend and the following weekend for the gun opener and then I'll probably be done for the year. A good friend of mine is getting oral cancer removed and it means having his jaw removed and then replaced with piece of bone from his hip. He lives alone without any family so Rita and I will be his caregivers for a few months.His surgery is the 19th.
Yeah. The boys and I made it out last weekend and ended up being shut out. I saw 4 deer two which were yearlings and two does that stood at 60 yards or so and traveled on. The boys seen more deer but for one reason or another couldn't get a shot off. Probably won't get back out til the beginning of Nov now. Hopefully the luck will change. You?
Been out a few times, but nothing close enough to shoot. Lots of corn still up and the full moon didn't help. Tomorrow starts a 3 1/2 week time off work to deer hunt. Hnunting near home in Cass county next two weeks, then in Illy Nov 8-13. Home again for the gun opener. This last cold front should stir things up. We had a very hard frost this morning.
I did look at those bucks you got on the damage hunt and have to say they looked liked some nice deer. But it was all the pics together that has me envious. You sir, are living my dream.
