I went out and took some pictures today with the new camera.  Here are a few of them:

I have been fortunate through almost all of my adult life to have had a full set of grandparents on each side.  A few years ago my grandma died (my moms mom), she was the first grandparent I had lost.  Last fall my grandpa passed away (my moms dad).

This Tuesday at 6:30 a.m. my grandpa died (my dads dad).  They all lived full lives but it will certainly be strange to not have them around.  I was very blessed to have been able to know them all so well, and to have had the opportunity to spend a fair amount of time with them in my youth, and not live too far away from them in my adult life as well.

We had went and visited my grandparents in March so that they could see their newest Great-Grandchild, and I'm glad that we did as it was the last time I was able to see my grandpa before he passed away.

He liked to make people laugh, and I'd like to think I received that trait from him.  We'll miss him.

It was a beautiful day today - blue sky and above 50 degrees.

Worked in the yard a bit and put together this blog thingy.  I haven't ever done one before and I'm doubting that I'll be any good at it.
