I feel ya on the 1.5 yr olds and the 2.5 yr olds. I had 6 day off from work to hunt the rut (6th-11th). I only seen 2 shooters and it just didn't pan out. 1.5 and 2.5 year old deer were everywhere. Tons of quality footage just not of the deer we are willing to harvest!

Hey Chris, hope your pop does smoke that big one. Been looking for one myself but have only managed to spot a couple of 28" bucks on Sat. Looking for that 30" plus buck. Good luck and have fun, be safe.

This weekend is big game opener with a rifle here in Montana and I am staying home. Opening weekend in my opinion is "Rookie" weekend. All those wannabe hunters that dust off their hunting gear the day before opening day. Oh I am just venting. Thank goodness I bow hunt. I have filled 4 freezers this year thanks to a early season damage hunt. I hope you have as much success as I have. Good Luck!
