I get to work on increasing habitat every day, but a trip to the duck factory is always a good thing.  I was in Bismarck for the Outdoor Writers Association of America annual convention.  The highlight of my time there was a trip out to the coteau to look at all the potholes.  That is some amazing habitat, a perfect spot for every duck.  They've had a dry year, but there are still broods on the water and nests on the ground.
