I think this year perfect timing would have been around the 10th/12th and through this week. Hopefully this weekend the bucks aren't too locked down and will be on their feet a bit.
That's the same dang week that I took my vacation. 70+ degrees, high winds, late rut and a lot of corn still in the fields. I think the deer just said screw it and hunkered down in the corn.
Last year that 1st week of Nov was the money week to be out in the woods. At least in MN it was.

Yeah man, that was me. Glad to see you made it on here. I ended up drilling a decent 8. Not the monster I went there for tough. I tagged out on a nice 10 in OH the next week.
That is cool! I went after that big twelve pointer that I showed you the picture of, but the locals found out that I had keyed in on him, and they messed with me bad!! I guess you dont shoot "there" deer! I will get a spot up and running and add my bucks to myspace. I hope everyone enjoys them as much as I do!!
