Well, that's a high I'd like to try sometime. My husbands season is this weekend so I might try to sneak out with him. He was out yesterday, didn't see anything but said he had a blast because they were talking to him a lot. I'd really like to see a turkey in full strut.
Clean dishes are good, you best make sure get that & your laundry done at least

It may be a good thing that you didn't see a turkey. When you have that first one come strutting in to your call and looking for the hen that he thinks is nearby you will be hooked forever. It is worse than getting on drugs, new calls, new decoys, new equipment every year, but at least it's legal and there is no other high like it when you finally get one close. I am kind of glad the season is over now, my work was piling up for 23 days and eventually you have to take time to at least wash the dishes.

Don't think I'll ever go deer hunting, just because I don't know if I could pull the trigger on one. But - never say never. I guess that'll all depend what I feel like after I shoot my first turkey

Thanks for the welcome aboard..... It is good to see lady outdoorspersons (got to be politicly correct here) involved in the sports. My ex-girlfriend hunted, fished and shot sporting clays with me for 11 years and just loved it. She had been a girly girl before meeting me and said she didn't realize what she was missing all of those years. She went postal on me on her first sucessful deer hunt, shot 3 deer, not realizing they may run for a ways before falling, thought she was just missing them and kept shooting at the ones that were left feeding it my food plot.... Look forward to hearing from you again.
