I was actually surprised by how early the deer were coming out. Sunset wasn't until 7:27 pm & I started seeing deer at 6:20 pm.

LOL!!! I gotta get busy on some cooking! Maybe this weekend! It's hard with my son's football schedule right now, I dang near didn't even go hunting but I said to myself, if you don't get motivated & go, you'll never get anything!
Yepper & we'll be having some good eats! I gutted him 30 minutes after I stuck him, had him packed with ice & packed ice all around him in a tarp within an hour of harvesting him, let him cool in all that ice over night, quartered him up Sunday morning & back on ice for the day, then cut him up last night & put all the bags back on ice for another day & put it all in the freezer tonight. I also dried & smoked some new peppars this year & I think we're going to have at least one batch of some HOT jerky! LOL!!!
