Wow ! we are alowed countless, antlerless permits! And in my area I my antlerless permitts are two for one!! So I buy two of those tags a year. Plus my State Wide Buck tag!!
You guys must have a LOT of deer! Are they mule deer or white-tail? My mom is lives in Pennsylvania is fond of telling me that more deer are killed on the highway in Pa than are legally shot in ME (somewhere around 30,000 each year, I think).

Yep, only one. Here is Maine, we are only allowed one deer and only a doe if we have a any-deer permit. Because we own land, I almost always get drawn for an any-deer permit but I usually try really hard for that buck first. Always trying to show the hubby up.
Thanks. Don't remember what she weighed. She came out with four more does at a full run. I took aim with the gun and actually shot her as she leaped into the air while running. It was the last day of regular hunting season.
