Saw your link on a friend of mine's page (Lisa Metheny) and thought I check out your page. Great great looking mulie and background pic. My inlaws live in Montana. I hunt there every year and hope to transfer to Billings, MT with my company next year. It's fairly close to where we hunt deer and elk. Anyway, a friend of Lisa's is a friend of mine. She is a friend and my mentor in POMA (Professional Outdoor Media Association) and really helped me begin to get published in the outdoor industry. We are both freelance outdoor writers. Anyway, enough rambling. Looking forward to seeing how your season pans out for you. Looking forward to your guide stories on here!

sounds like a good plan. I think it would be awesome to be a guide, all the interesting people you get to meet. I am sure that somedays it is not worth it, but hopefully most are.

Yup...I'm going to be guiding for Moose next year! You should start putting in for vermont & New Hampshire permit, as they are both doing preference points now! I don't guide in N.H. but I could put you on a Giant in the northern part of the state where I deer hunt!
Yeah some days can bum you out when you can't put some one on game or fish....but every day is fun!!
maybe we can hunt together sometime, I probably want to hunt moose more than any other critter besides a whitetail

I know someone that is seriously entertaining the idea of guiding and starting their own outfitting business, so I wondered how you liked it. I expect it is pretty hard work, little reward, and probably lesser money, but hey, if you love the outdoors like people like us do, than perhaps it is worth it. Any opinions or tips or suggestions you care to share?
