I got a good one. Not sure been busy with baseball this last week, I better check. DJ
You did get one?! Details, man, details!!
Well it was a dark and stormy morning. I heard a gobble on the roost then 10 min later I heard him on the ground. While sitting in my double bull 360 I began to ponder wether the old bird would be botherd by the blind. As soon as he got to the edge of the field he looked at my decoy and blind and ran as fast as he could to the other side, about 400yds. So being the genius that I am I collapsed the blind and hunkered down inside the base of a old dead oak. Remaining real quiet about an hour later I saw the bird feeding back into the field. After a little calling he was headed my way. Another 20 min and he circled to my left really interested in my hen decoy. As soon as I started purring he fluffed up and sprinted to about 30 yds to my left. Unfortunately I shoot everything left handed. As the primer erupted on the Federal 3 1/2", #4 turkey load, my already destroyed left shoulder and the birds head hit the ground simultaneously. So after much whimpering I crawled out to take a look at my prize. Wasn't that an awful story? DJ
Haha!! Not at all. That was a great story. I switched to a 20 gauge last year because those 12 guages are murder on the shoulders. I dont regret that decision either. Now I just need to use it this year, I still havent gotten anything! I am hoping to get to go Friday. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
