I don't know if I am one of a few or one of many, one of many I would hope but I just have to get this off my chest. I have been brought up to respect the outdoors. I am a proud member of the NRA and feel strongly about wildlife conservation and preserving what rights we have left as outdoorsmen. It's difficult for me to see and hear about so called hunters that take game out of season, destroy our natural resources, violate other regulations, and have an all out lack of respect for the outdoors. Its even more difficult to swallow when it's your own family and friends that are doing it. It's people like this that give the rest of us a bad reputation and get our rights whittled down little by little. All they are doing is adding fuel to the fire for the anti-gun establishment, animal rights activists and every other group out there that is against our way of life. It's hard enough to fight a seemingly never ending battle to preserve what rights we have left, now we have a battle within to take on top of that. It rips me apart when I lose friends over this and to have family doing this is even more of a conflict. I have cut ties with friends over this which is very difficult but when it comes to family, what is one to do? I know that no one is perfect but when the entire family is against what they are doing and have warned them over and over, yet they show no remorse or signs of stopping. No one wants to turn them in but thats seems to be the way to go. You never want to see family in trouble or see any harm come to them, which becomes the problem. With a government that seems to to be poised to continue taking our rights little by little I urge each one of you that read this to speak up and take a stand for what is right and fight to keep those rights. I don't know about the rest of you, but I want to pass on a tradition of respect and conservation of our natural resources to our youth.
After this season I'm going to start looking for a new arrow rest and need some input or suggestions. Right now I'm using a QAD dropaway which I'm not too keen of. I've been thinkin about goin with the masses and gettin a Whisker Biscuit. Anyone out there that uses one, please give me some feedback on them, such as how quiet it is, wear and tear on the vanes, consistency, how often the bristles need to be replaced, and any other advantages or disadvantages that they have. I'm also looking for feedback on any other rests out there that are decent. I've also been looking at the G5 rests but those look a little pricey but price really isn't too much of an issue but the less I spend, the better. If i go with another drop away, I want to go with a cordless one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
