We had fun camping in the barn next to the skeet range. Set up a nice camp, got some good sleep & a couple naps in! I told Scott he's a napaholic (j/k) LOL!!! We had lousy weather/windy/rainy in the morning when we could hunt & nice weather turkeys walking around in the afternoon when we couldn't hunt! LOL!!! At one point Scott worked a Jake from over 300 yards out to within 75 when he spotted us standing inside the barn in our bluejeans! LOL!!! The game was way over, birds bred out early this year in Ohio but we had fun just getting out there! Scott is a great guy, if ya ever get a chance to go hunting with him, don't miss out on it!
Yeah....I napped a lot. That darn mustard weed pollen was really clogging me up due to my allergies. Anyway, the antihistamine I use (Zyrtec) does cause me to doze off.....but it is actually an advantage when hunting! I shut my mouth, quit moving, and use my "snore drum drum" vocalization!
Anyhow, thanks to mrjbigfoot, I have another great friend and hunting buddy! We are planning for hunting the first week of the 2009 season whether we decide to hunt Ohio, Indiana or both!
Thank you for everything Biggie. I appreciate the stories, hunting opportunity, and the help finding my lost (dropped) debit card!
I also can't forget to mention that Scott gave me a sweeeet little custom made scratch box turkey call, just to thank me for inviting him over to hunt! Does that spell Nice Guy or what!
