wow...that's an impressive collection. oh if only i had THAT problem :( I went out two weeks ago and bought my first fishing rod.... I was so proud of it. I told my boyfriend what I had and he told me to return it immediately...that it was too light of a set up for me. He said he had rods that I could use, and that he would show me what I need. I was crushed, cause I really thought I did a great job of picking out this rod (it felt perfect). So I haven't returned it yet, but here's the story of why. On opening day, we go out fishing with HIS gear, he puts a hook on the line, I bait it...and wham, in the first two minutes I get a trout. NICE, right?! So I'm like "awesome...must really be the right kind of rod then...my boyfriend must know what he's doing." I look down to see what kind of rod it is...SAME EXACT ONE I BOUGHT!!! (except the one I bought was still sitting in my car waiting to be returned) He never heard the end of that one....needless to say, I will be keeping the rod and I will be using it whenever I go out to the nearest lake. Though I might still invest in another rod in case I wanna do a little more hardcore fishin.
