Man, our JV way outmatched Marietta's JV this morning... 62 to zip... I kinda felt bad & everybody got to play... the scorekeepers just kept the clock running in the 3rd Qtr & then shortened the 4th Qtr to only 8 minutes and we just ran the clock all we could in the 4th Qtr... But, I will say this, Marietta is a beautiful little town nestled in on the river there across from Parkersburg and we played at Marietta College's field right there by the river. The river looked absolutely beautiful. The water clarity was amazing to me. I've never seen the Ohio River looking so clear. I felt like I was in Canada looking at the river out there. My son had to play the whole JV game at O-line center because our only real back-up at center is a JV 1st string O-line guard. It was bright sun & hot with our guys out there in there black uniforms & helmets and Marietta's guys had black helmets to. One of Marietta's guys had to take a ride in a squad because he was suffering from heat exhaustion... Anyways, it was a good game for us & good to see all the guys shake hands in good sportsmanship at the end.
