After a weekend of cruddy weather, waking up this morning was a breath of fresh air. It's 40* and sunny right now and it's only suppose to get warmer. High of 60 today and it's suppose to get even warmer this week. I'll be turkey hunting the 25th, 26th, & 27th so it's looking like at least the temperatures should be fair. Now lets just get that wind to cooperate.
I have four and a half weeks left of school right now so I'm also gettin' kinda anxious for summer. I guess I'll probably have to buckle down though for finals.
Yesterday morning was the third sermon in a series that my preacher is doing on money. It has been very eye opening. The way that many people live their lives today is not only putting stress and major obligations upon themselves, but also is doing major damage to their relationship with the Lord. When you have all kinds of debt and payments on houses, cars, appliances, etc.....then we are serving our money. That is not the way it is suppose to be. We are suppose to serve God and our money is suppose to serve us. Somewhere along the line, our society seemed to get that order switched around. Far too many people are living their life beyond their means. We should live below our means and then we can serve God and not our money.
This has just been a very interesting sermon series and that is one of the many reasons I really love my preacher is because he is not afraid to talk about touchy subjects.
