APPLY NOW for Utah Big Game Points, Deadline is at 11PM March 9, here's the info you need... WHY UTAH???
Utah has some of the best hunting in the world because they carefully manage all their game species and they severely limit the number of licenses they issue. Its hard to get a tag to hunt but the result is that many more animals reach maturity, the success rates are high, and the trophy quality is some of the best in the world. Bearpaw Outfitters has had 100% success on these Utah Limited-Entry Trophy Hunts.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
In Utah 90% of tags go to Residents and 10% of the tags can go to Non-Residents. 50% of the available tags are a random draw for all applicants and 50% of the tags go to the applicants with the most POINTS. Now you can see why it is important to accumulate POINTS for these great hunts.
COMMITMENT
This system is perfect for the hunter who likes to plan their hunts in advance and is looking for the best quality hunts. Generally very few people draw the first year, this system requires a long term commitment, you need to collect points each year to increase your odds each year until you do draw. Whats nice is that you can apply for the point even if you dont actually want to apply for the hunt. This way you build points for better draw odds in future years. You can apply for POINTS this year until March 9.
NEW THIS YEAR
You can apply for points for all species including deer, antelope, and elk plus you can apply for moose, sheep, goat, and bison. In the past you could only apply for 1 specie in each of these two groups. Build points for every specie you think you may want to hunt in the future.
COST
You must purchase a $65 Hunting license before you can apply for any hunt. It costs $10 for each specie you want a POINT for and these fees are non-refundable.
