Worked one of the roost and when he hit the gound he headed other way on private ground. Didnt get to go out today due to work but should be out the rest of the week.
so your hunting public land are ya hunting the pines ? isnt amazing they know where to go right to where they are safe up in hunterdon county where i go on private land they stay across the brook on another private piece where no1 turkey hunts but the last week of the season they cant resist last minute hens
your right. Late season does help me with pressured birds. Yeah I hunt public land in 14 and 15 for turkey. I also go to PA every year but my wife is due soon so I stayed home this year since we cant use cell phones at the cabin and its 4 hours away. Not good if she goes in to labor
well congrats to you and your wife....i used to hunt 14 by the 70 72 circle but there were so many guys around alot of birds but they knew people were there so i gave it up...im thinking about getting a 14 e permit and going back there i scouted there last sunday and plenty of tracks on the dirt roads

Turkey season is among us in Maryland. Remember to stay quiet, don't move and cover up.
Spring tip: Make the lead hen fight you in your calls and she will come after you. The gobbler will chase the lead hen and that is how you get them henned up gobblers to come out and play :)
thanks alot ...they were holloring on roost this morning but quiet once they hit the ground trying again tommorrow my buddy stagg got one a couple hundred yrd from me 22lbs 9inch beard 1 inch spurs there were 3 all the same size
