This is just crazy.. trying to plan a wedding and a GIANT BBQ reception ... Early bow starts in 4 weeks and I can't find a damn minute to shoot my bow.

This is just driving me NUTS!

You would think with it being "casual" and the reception being a BBQ it would be easy.  Caterer , decorations, tents , chairs , tables, RSVP's , questions..

HELP...

Okay.. done venting

I 've been busy crazy the last 3 months.. new home, work, side business... Now planning my wedding and reception !!

Invites are out and September will come up fast!  First Friday and weekend of September.  Second Saturday if the first day of our 2008 Early Bow season.. Can't miss that!!  Me more then him!  I love early bow!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful morning and enjoy your day!

Oh yeah!!! and we are headed to Iowa!!!   I 'm gonna get me a monster!

Good lord how about this heat!!  Spent the last couple weeks planting trees and setting up grass seed and now we are watering nonstop to keep it all alive!!

Poor deer around us are struggling with this.  Laying down by our pond 24 x 7

We already have an injured doe, last years fawn. Poor thing got clipped down the street from our home.  She 's handling it well; really bad limp right now.  We'll see how she's handling it this September.  Maybe my EAB doe.

We are finally doing it.  Booked a muzzleloader hunt for Iowa in December.  I am so excited .  I would love to go out for bow; but, I couldn't wait a couple years for the tag.  Too anxious.   I know I shouldn't get my hopes up.   Most Jersey deer can't hold a candle to Iowa..

We are going to rent an RV for the week... Nice 15 hour drive, beautiful country.. no worries about airports lost luggage or guns...

First we were going to fly.. I really don't like to fly.. Kinda spooks me... They all decided to drive.. An RV will be fun.  Well, now we have someone, possibly, backing out of the trip.. So, renting an RV may not be worth it.. It actually may be cheaper to fly out there now. This stinks.  I was really looking forward to the drive!

Other than the friends or buddies that you come across over the net; are most friends really worth the trouble?

I had plenty of girlfriends growing up.. Let most of them go to the wayside because my BF at the time starting seeing my boyfriend behind my back..

Put my guard up and let it back down when I met my , now , X husband.  I gave in and befriended a couple of his friends wives...  It was okay until I found out about him and his friends wife.  A girl that he knew since he was in ? late grade school/early high school ...

I turned to a couple people , girls , for " moral support " only to be screwed again.. Long soap opera story...

When I met the guy I am with now I told him "I have no girlfriends, do not want any girlfriends."  "They are nothing but trouble and no matter what they tell you, if given the chance to better their lives, they will turn on you.."

I feel so bad.  A girl here at work is going through a hard time with a "friend".  Sorry ladies.  I know that not all of you are "back-stabbers"; usually the ones that aren't have had it done to them..

I have always said I am in my own little bucket.. So, if you are a female and have been lied to or stabbed by a "friend"... Jump on in!

Sorry just ranting, something stirred up old memories.

It was a Wednesday afternoon.  I left work early to try 'again!' to get my EAB doe.. I was determined to have the opportunity to hunt  a buck from Sept to Jan

I was in the stand that was closest to my home.  Got there about 3 in the afternoon.  Settled in and waited.. Lord I was anxious that day.  I knew I was in a great spot.  All the deer had been walking by this stand to head out to a hay field.  Here they came.  Big doe, 2 little ones behind her, and a second BIG doe.  My opportunity was here.

I watched the first big girl walk by , once she got behind a holly tree I had the opportunity to pick up the bow and draw back.. The little ones were , of course, totally oblivious to me.   It was perfect; the second doe followed suit.  Completely unaware of anything.  She walked perfectly into the hole I had.  Right before the holly tree.  I watched the luminock shoot right through her.  Double lung and piece of her heart. She ran 60 yards and dropped.

Incredible rush.   My Boyfriend was so excited for me.  At times he may have been more excited than me!!
