Giving Back To Those Who Gave Honor. It’s a word we’ve heard all our lives but in today’s programming is rarely seen. Veteran Outdoors is a refreshing and inspirational show whose purpose it is to honor our country’s wounded war veterans. This powerful reality show honors our Wounded War Veterans by fulfilling their dream hunt wishes while giving them a chance to tell their story along the way. The hosts of Veteran Outdoors are veteran Wes Higgins and civilian Cody Hirt; both are passionate about giving back to these veterans who have given so much to our country. First and foremost, Veteran Outdoors is a celebration of life and freedom…giving back to those who gave so much. Veteran Outdoors is a platform for Wounded War Veterans to tell their own stories while enjoying the thrill and surprise of taking their once-in-a-lifetime hunt. Whether it’s enabling a veteran to take their children hunting again or going after a trophy themselves, Veteran Outdoors provides the opportunity to make their dreams a reality! The viewer is engaged in the hunt as the Wounded War Veterans, along with their hosts, pursue the trophy of their dreams. Throughout the show, the veterans share their stories; not told by politicians, not told by the media, but in the veteran’s own words. Our Wounded War Veterans tell about their lives before joining the military, their service and recovery and our viewers get a glimpse into the real lives of each veteran honored on Veteran Outdoors. This gripping combination is both emotional and uplifting. Key points about the Veteran Outdoors show:§ Each hunting destination fits as close as possible the veteran’s ideal hunt of a lifetime.§ Spouses and children of the veteran will also be included in special episodes.§ Veteran Outdoors is also more than just another TV show – it is a developing brand, lifestyle and platform for the Veteran Outdoors products, equipment and video series. About the hosts…Co-host Wes Higgins is a veteran of the US Army and has served in Iraq, Kosovo, Macedonia and Kuwait. Wes has served in many of the same situations as the guest veterans. He relates to them and communicates well about their common experiences. Civilian co-host Cody Hirt offers his own stimulating twist from a non-military perspective. His questions, comments and sincere respect reflect the majority of American viewers. Wes and Cody’s easy flow of humor, compassion and hunting expertise mixed with their interactions with the guests each week creates an entertaining and genuine atmosphere that appeals to everyone. Wes and Cody have participated in numerous Wounded War Veteran hunts over the past couple of years. It was on these hunts, listening to the powerful stories of brave men and women that Wes and Cody realized that “everybody needs to hear this!” As co-host Cody Hirt says, “Their struggles and their stories make me appreciate the life I get to live…and it’s all because of people like them.” The robust market of hunting shows is evident. Veteran Outdoors opens up a whole new demographic of viewers, appealing not only to this enormous hunters market, but also to viewers who enjoy patriotic, uplifting shows where they see their fellow man overcome and triumph. Unlike other reality shows, Veteran Outdoors focuses on those men and the women that have unselfishly served our country with strength and bravery. The show’s creators spotlight our veteran’s remarkable spirit and in a small way acknowledge the debt of gratitude we all owe. The Veteran Outdoors experience is more than just a hunting show…it is a story of emotional triumph and a tribute to the modern day HERO!
