"Pray About Everything" - Luke Bryan Time is tight, And money's short. River's up, and the weatherman, He's callin' for another storm. Pressure's on, The margin's thin. Gotta figure out a fix, For this awful fix I'm in.
Oh, Mama what am I gonna do? She said, "Child, there's only one thing you can do"
Don't worry 'bout nothin' Let it go, see what tomorrow brings Don't worry 'bout nothin' Pray about everything
Pray about everything
Love is blind, Fate don't care. Lose your grip, And your balloons Go sailin' off into the air
Oh, Mama what am I gonna do? She said, "Child, there's only one thing you can do"
Don't worry 'bout nothin' Let it go, see what tomorrow brings Don't worry 'bout nothin' Pray about everything
Yeah, Pray about everything
Yeah, take a walk, take a breath Oh, give it all a rest Take a cane pole to the fishin' hole And catch a couple fish And just like that Toss 'em back And make a little wish
Don't worry 'bout nothin' Let it go, see what tomorrow brings Don't worry 'bout it, stress about it, fret about it Don't worry 'bout nothin' Let it go, see what tomorrow brings Don't worry 'bout nothin' Pray about everything
Yeah, pray about everything
"Don't worry 'bout nothin' Let it go, see what tomorrow brings"
^^^my favorite lines in the whole song. it takes a little effort, but once you can do what he says, you'll see you stress yourself over the little things too much. do what makes you happy and live your life the way you want. stop worryin about every little thing. that's pretty much what my mom's been telling me from the get go cause she's the one i got to when i need to talk about something. most of ya'll prolly have no idea about all the bullshit i've been though over the past few years, but i was stressin big time. but now, i don't have a care in the world. i loosened up and life is great. not to say i don't still stress, i just don't let it get the best of me anymore. and the best thing that's ever happened to me is happening all over again. i could go on and on about that too, but that's another blog for another day. all i can say is, i haven't been this content with life in a REALLY long time. seems like everything is falling back into place.
and for anyone who likes country music, you really should listen to some of Luke Bryan's music. he's got some really, REALLY good music.

i posted this blog on my myspace account back before last duck season started. figured why the hell not post it on this account, being it's a outdoor community site. enjoy!
I'm on a hunting forum called ThePitBlind.com and one of the questions was "what does waterfowling mean to you?" i thought i'd post my answer in a blog so everyone could understand why i hunt.
It's a way of life. It's an obsession. It's what we do. It's a place that we go to get away from everyday life. We look forward to the next season as soon as this one ends. But for us, the season never ends. We're always preparing in the "off season". We're always thinking about season's past and reliving them by telling our stories around campfires and over a few drinks with our closest friends. It's about making memories with friends, new and old. It's about the sunrises and sunsets. Most people don't even take the time to appreciate our paradise. It's hard work, but it's work I love to do and am passionate about. This is one thing that I don't mind putting in too much time and effort into. It's the feel of that first cool front...when you know it's almost that time. It's about the rush and excitement of fast flying ducks. And the beauty of their colorful feathers and graceful ways. It's about spending time with friends and family and thanking God that you're able to. It's the excitement you get when you hear the wing beat of ducks passing overhead at twilight. It's the sights you see, the smells you smell, and the sounds you hear. It's the feeling you get the night before opening day…you know the feeling. It's the excitement of waking up before your alarm clock goes off to throw on your camo and load up the truck. It's the anticipation before the hunt. It's the excitement of seeing a flight of ducks landing in the decoys. It's the feeling of pulling your gun up to your cheek for the first shot of the season and looking down the barrel of your gun and drawin a bead on a fat mallard.
I don't know if you can tell, but…IT'S IN MY BLOOD.
"Locked and loaded, cupped and comin. Decoys buzzin, barrels smoking. Their doin their thing, now we'll do ours" --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----- "4 a.m. and I wake up Eager for what awaits me Don't need no coffee in my cup I can't help it, I'm naturally fired up It's in my bloodline, you see Passed on by the Creator through me Killin ducks, catchin fish in the summertime Oh, it's in my bloodline" "3 shells shot from my gun 4 ducks fall, don't know if I touched a-one Bet somebody's gonna claim them some Be patient boys, keep your hands on your gun We're just good 'ol boys havin too much fun
Good friends havin a real good time That's what it's all about in the duck blind Don't need no smoke or a bottle of wine That's what it's all about in the duck blind"
"Black water, a cullmaran cries A wood duck song serenades the sunrise Black coffee warms my lips Ain't gonna get any better than this There's no doubt who made this place When you standin here, you can see His face Well, I'm just glad to be part of the plan Well, that's the life, that's the life of a duckman
It's worlds apart, at the dusk There's no one here but God's creatures and us Pick up a limit, head back to the truck Eatin from the hand of the man who created us"
"We spend countless hours Tryin to sound like a mallard hen We got every Duck Commander duck call I think that's ever been We got our realtree camo On everything including the truck We will spend all expense What a man will do for a duck"
re-reading this blog gets me pumped up everytime i read it. our season just ended in mid-Jan. and it's now mid-March and i wanna go kill some birds. RIGHT NOW!
most of ya'll don't really know me... i been chasin ducks since i'm 8 yrs old. i grew up watchin my dad come home with ducks every Sunday afternoon when he got back from the camp at The Wax (which is a WMA in south Louisiana. where i grew up hunting). i remember watchin him and his friend build the houseboat on the weekends. i remember goin to my dad's friends house and lookin at his duck mounts on the wall and being able to name em. i remember alot of our old hunts. and it's sure changed over the few years i been hunting (15 yrs this past season). i watched the Duck Commander videos with him for as long as i can remember. i could tell some stories, as well as most duck hunters could. or any hunter for that matter. we do some pretty crazy things to get our kills. pretty much whatever it takes.
we got a sickness fellas... and i love it. :D
"Oh Louisiana" - Wayne Toups He takes a stroll down a canefield road, It's where he's from. Fifteen years since he shed the tears, On the day that he left home. It was a humid day, Barefoot children play. Lookin for that summer shade, Time just slips away. Oh Louisiana, Some kind of hold on me. Like cypress stumps, your roots are planted deep inside of me. Oh Louisiana, Your world is sane to me And Cajun blood, like a river flood, is wild and runnin free Makes you holler when the bayou runs, To the Gulf of Mexico. Broken dreams goin down stream, In a never ending flow. See the spirit of the past, In the faces of today. I hear their voices call, This time I'm here to stay. Oh Louisiana, Some kind of hold on me. Like cypress stumps, your roots are planted deep inside of me. Oh Louisiana, Your world is sane to me. Cajun blood, like a river flood, is wild and runnin free The heavy rain smells bright and sweet, And the berries come down with them. The roof becomes an alto drum, As the raindrops tap out the rhytmns. Oh Louisiana, Some kind of hold on me. Like cypress stumps, your roots are planted deep inside of me Oh Louisiana, Your world is sane to me. Cajun blood, like a river flood, is wild and runnin free Oh Louisiana, Some kind of hold on me. It's hard to plant your roots when the soil don't break so easily Oh Louisiana, Your world is sane to me Cajun blood, like a river flood, is wild and runnin... runnin free *yep, pretty much. I love Louisiana.*
