A recall has been set for "Ruger" SR9 pistols. Please check the "Ruger" website for more details. Some SR9 pistols under certain conditions, fire when dropped, with the manual safeties in the "off" or "fire" position. Ruger is finalizing the design of a new trigger group to correct the problem. As soon as the new parts are available, the trigger group will retro fit all "Ruger" SR9 pistols staring with serial number 330 (330-xxxx) at no charge to their customers.
Just recently tested four major brand pistols for a local LE for functionability, accuracy, pointability, reloading, cycling and comfort/Carry. Test started from the arms length initiating achnor point shooting, then the 7yrd with double taps, 10yrd with speed firing. At the 15yrd, control, breathing and accuracy were the concern, with three shot groups from standing, prone and barricade, in which measurements were taken. Then to 26ft again with speed and standard controlled firing. The firearms used, were, the Glock 22, M&P, Springfield XD40 and the Beretta Px4 Storm, all in .40 cal. Stay tune for the results. I already have an idea which one just might perform the best.
