Have not had a chance to make it out yet . This weekend will probably be the first time i get to make it out. I have access to 700 acres of private land so hopefully they will still be responding and vocal.
How is yours going?
700 acres WOW that should be very handy.
First week was pretty good....But I elected not to shoot anything....Well I shot them all with the video camera but not the gun I have called in several long beards and the next one that comes in will get shot. Haven't been out much this week yet.....planning on going in the morning. I have a tag that needs to be filled now.
Turkey season is among us in Maryland. Remember to stay quiet, don't move and cover up.
Spring tip: Make the lead hen fight you in your calls and she will come after you. The gobbler will chase the lead hen and that is how you get them henned up gobblers to come out and play :)
you still afloat down there???? Or do I need to start heading that way with my ARK to save you???
Man is this weather crazy or what?
We might need an Ark. This is crazy, I have never seen this much rain, we have had 13 inches in just over 24 hrs. Some local towns are evacuating and tons of roads are shut down. I have been out "chasing" the floods and trying to take some pics. I will post them on realtree when i get a chance.
I wish I would have had my camera yesterday.....Saw some interesting flood waters..
I like your Page Steve. It looks a lot better than my plain jane. I might need some help to get a normal background like yours. Hope everything is going good up in Canada.
When you sent me this message, I wasn't even sure how to reply to anyone...LOL. Your page looks great also.
What is up with this weather? 70s one day and then ice and snow the next.
we missed all the snow and ice..... Just was cold. That 70 degree stuff was a nice teaser
Sounds like you guys are getting pretty lucky on the weather. I am used to the winter being longer but I am ready for it to be over. This working 2-3 days a week puts a big hurting on the paycheck.
I did see some bucks today in Southern Missouri that still had some head gear on them. I am not used to that either. Most of the bucks in Michigan drop in late January, Early Febuary at the latest.
Yeah really all we have gotten is the cold I wish we would get some snow.....make the cold easier to deal with IMO.
I have seen deer as late as March still packing horns.....Most loose them in Jan and Feb but always a few stubborn ones.
Birthday was nothing special, but my sinus infection is better, thanks for asking. Are you ready to go shoot some thunder chickens this spring. Thanks, Randy
