[quote="Great_White_Hunter"]Hey from Texas. I hunt in Montana every year. I hunt with the inlaws for elk and deer in the Bitteroot valley. My inlaws (parents, wife's two sisters and their husbands) live in Stevensville. We hunt there and we also hunt deer and antelope over in the White Sulphur Springs area. We also hunt elk in the Gallatin Mnts near Belgrade and Big Sky. I'll be up there again on November 1st. Down here I hunt Deer, Turkey, Hogs, Ducks, and Doves. Take care and nice to meet ya.
2 of my brother in laws will be here on November 1 as well, also we have a couple of other friends that come and hunt each year, but I am not sure if there arrival as of yet. I absolutely love it here, this year thus far I have 2 antelope tags for pratically in my back yard (bith doe) as well as my deer tags. My husband is gearing up to go away on Friday eve., until Wed. or so to early season archery hunt elk. That is something I can't wait to hunt, elk is the one I have not even tried to hunt yet. Well good luck to you, and if you make it up this way, you will have to give us a shout. Tonya
You really need to read Jeremiah Johnson's book "Where Adventure meets Discovery". It's hard to put down! I have had the pleasure of hunting with Mark and his son Casey. They are two of America's most outstanding individuals. I'd go anytime, anyplace, with either!
Thanks for the comment you left in my "is fair really fair" blog. I composed from the heart. I could tell your response was from the heart. Thank you.
Thanks for the pics comment! I have a ton more to load, hopefully in the next couple of days. I work with pigs all day long on a farm, so it would be nice to put one in the freezer that I didn't persnally know! LOL

Hope to be added as a friend. I am one of Lisa M. (Hoosier Huntress) and LLD's friends and am an Associate Member of POMA. I have started a 2nd career with outdoor writing...just getting it off the ground. Lisa, LLD, and POMA itself has been instrumental in my take-off. The Money Line with POMA is a perfect tool for those of us with a passion for outdoor writing. You are in great hands with both of them. Let me know if I can help as well. I am at the beginning stages and have much to learn but if I can be of assistance let me know. Hope you have a great season! I bagged another hog this past Saturday...quickest hunt I've ever been on.
Warm regards,
Kevin Reese

Well Kevin, It appears you beat me to the punch so to speak - I just sent you a comment about POMA. Sounds like you're enjoying the experience. Guess I'll have to hang with Lisa and LLD for a while and get an idea of how this thing works.
I would love to try hawgs with my Diamond Odeysee Solitere 70lbs with the 100gr Thunderhead tiped carbons. Actually, I had to turn it down a bit to the mid 60lbs, the shoulder hurts abit lately. Gettin Old I guess, but it sure beats the alternative. I have a spear that I took a doe with a couple years back. I'd like to take a hawg sometime with it. I had it with me bear hunting a few times, but nothing came in under me for the shot/poke. Its nice you can keep stuffin the freezer with fresh meat. I'm running out of venison from last year.

Thanks for the add. I'll email the web site address, even tho its still under construction. Hopefully, I'll have plenty of samples this winter and I can send ya some to try out. Good Luck
