 This event is sure to be one of the most exciting whitetail hunting events of 2009. Camospace members can register for a chance to be drawn for an exclusive whitetail hunt & contest of a lifetime. 40 Hunters will be selected in a random drawing for a four-day whitetail hunt being held in Lewis County, Kentucky (The #1 Boone & Crockett County in Kentucky). D A Outfitters is holding over 2500 ++acres aside exclusively for this hunt. The hunt will be taking place November 14- 17, 2009, which is the first four days of Kentucky’s rifle season as well as falling during the peak of the rut. Hunters will be hunting in a new baited stand each day of their hunt and will be competing for prizes (top 5 bucks) as well as being involved in an array of drawings for prizes throughout the hunt. Stand drawings and guide assignments will be held nightly at dinner where hunters will be entertained by guest speakers, music and drawings for prizes and hunt amenities. This hunt will be full of surprises for the hunters and a great event for the sponsors that are involved.
D A Outfitters has had a success rate upwards of 60% on first week rifle hunts in Kentucky and the average 3 year old bucks that are taken gross score in the 130-140 inch range with field dressed weights of 170-200 pounds. Details: Stay tuned to Camospace to look for the official registration link that will allow you to qualify to be drawn. We will be designating a website with a registration page for a period of one month. You will need to fill out the whole registration sheet and submit it during the registration period. (Only one registration per hunter will be accepted) The registration page will have a buddy registration so that if chosen both hunters are drawn and therefore can travel together. After the one-month registration period we will do a public drawing to draw the names of the successful registrants. This hunt will be offered to Camospace Members exclusively for $800.00 per hunter (Normally a $1500.00 hunt).
Upon notification the registrants will have a 7-10 day period to submit their deposit ($400.00). Seven days later a second drawing will be done to fill the remaining spots in the hunt from deposits not received. The hunt will include lodging, meals, shuttle service to hunting and lodging areas. We will be utilizing D A Outfitters lodge as the base camp and also utilizing a nearby local hotel for lodging. D A Outfitters will have 8 guides designated to work the 2K9 Whitetail Challenge along with runners for transporting deer as well as a skinning and quartering service onsite at the lodge. There will be a large tent set up at the lodge for family style meals as well as setting up sponsor tables and nightly entertainment. Each hunter will be interviewed and their profile and hunt story will be posted on the website for all to read along with pictures of their harvest.
One of the highlights of this hunt will be the jamboree type atmosphere. Not only will the selected hunters be participating in a whitetail hunt that is sure to produce some trophy bucks, but the hunters will also get to participate in a contest to win prizes and trips for the top five gross scoring bucks taken during the hunt. Each night during stand drawing there will be an array of prizes drawn for the participating hunters as well as live entertainment, guest speakers and an array of other surprises for the hunters. We will also be presenting each hunter with a participation bag that has been filled with various items provided by sponsors of the hunt. Not to mention you will be hunting with fellow Camospace Members!!! This is sure to be one of the premier whitetail hunting events of the year. This should also be a media hit with an array of DVD production crews in attendance.
D A Outfitters has now been hunting in Kentucky for over 17 years and these properties have produced several Boone & Crockett bucks, 2 which have scored in excess of 200 inches. D A Outfitters is also contributing a prize for the largest scoring Boone & Crockett buck during the hunt; a choice of a hunt for (2) during the 2010 season with D A Outfitters as well as a shoulder mount of their trophy. The “2K9 Whitetail Challenge” will be one of the most exciting events of the year for whitetail hunters.
When you register for this hunt there are some restrictions and requirements:
1. Hunters must be 18 years of age. (or buddy registration with a parent or legal guardian)
2. Hunters must be available for the hunt dates Nov 13 sign in through November 17th 2009. Please do not register if you are not available.
3. Hunter must provide their own transportation to the hunting lodge (Near Grayson Kentucky)
4. Hunters must be prepared to submit a $400.00 deposit within 7-10 days of drawing. Deposits that are not received those hunts will be put back in for the secondary drawing. (Sometime in the beginning of May 2009)
5. Remainder of hunt fee ($400.00) is due July 1st 2009. Failure to submit will result in forfeiture of hunt.
6. Kentucky Resident or Non-Resident Hunting License in addition to Deer Tags must be purchased and presented at hunter sign in on November 13th, 2009.
7. Hunters must sign liability waiver, release form for their consent of photography and filming during their stay at the hunt for sponsor and/or promotional purposes.
8. This is fair chase hunting therefore not a guaranteed hunt.
9. Hunters are expected to follow all State mandated laws and D A Outfitters rules and regulations during this hunt. (There are no antler restrictions for this hunt)
