I'm Interested in new and up and coming or established companies that make waterfowl calls. I am from Battle Creek Michigan, and where I hunt (this whole area) gets alot of pressure for the amount of birds here. I am looking for a different sound and look, and let some of my friends know about you. One contact in particular is planning on carrying as many types of calls as he can. This would be a great way to meet up with some good people and get a little more cash in your pocket.  Send any contact info to: Beekbusters@aol.com  Thanks again and good hunting.

I started a club for decoys carvers , or waterfowl hunters alike. IT is called Sothwest Michigan Deek Freaks, I hope to get more members from all over that watn to carve , carve now or just want to talk hunting. I plan to add some recipes and other tips for carving and hunting as well. Become a member, upload photos, tips of your own etc. I will have contact information for getting carving materials, have negotiated prices too.  I plan on carving alot of blocks this winter for next season and is a good place to ask about that as well as my profile page - Beekbusters.

Hey guys and gals come be a part of Southwest Michigan Deek Freaks, DO a little Q. and A. Help each other out with tech gear issues, call recommendations, recipes etc. Become a member and upload photos of you hunts. I love to hear how hunting is different across our beautiful country. I am a Union Carpenter from Battle Creek Michigan, father of 3 girls and manage to do some serious duck and goose hunting, though my favorite is divers, a big tradition in MIchigan. Check out my profile page under Beekbusters, and check out all I do. I also do some decoy carving and am making a bunch of cork and pien blocks up this winter. Some may be available for sale. Thanks for taking the time to read and have safe adventures in the field .

I have a gripe. Michigan had 1 confirmed CWD case last year in a Pen Raised animal in Central Western Michigan. The DNR took swift action and banned all baiting feeding deer, or anything that could be considered food for deer. Baiting and feeding has long been a hunting tradition in MIchigan. Our states landscape is very diverse, some agricultural to the south and less as you go north. Now there have not been anymore cases, No possible cases or any other suspicions of the disease. ( over a year later) Now neighboring states which actually touch the U.P.( Wisconsin) have documented CWD problems, yet baiting is still allowed in the U.P. How much sense does that make? Time to allow it again satewide, as the tradition has been. Now don't get me wrong if there are more cases or real reasons for the Ban , I would support it. I think the fines which have added to the states budget has also made the ban last so long. WHat do you thinK?
