Depending on mood....country most of the time but I like to hit some Nickelback just before a hunt to get the blood pumping.

I know this is not a book, but I love to read North American Whitetail. Nothing like reading about a big buck that hit the ground to get the blood boiling with excitement!

Old custom trucks, Muzzleloaders, Hunting new parts of the country

I don't get much time to watch TV, but I do like all Westerns, The Outdoor Channel, the CSI's, and NCIS.

My Dad, My Paw, Alex Rutledge, and Eddie Slater

travelinhunter Rolln' north to Illinois for muzzlelaoder season with CVA Apex in hand

Chapter 1..I have been working for Knight Rifles for years on end and have traveled the country hosting their show on the Outdoor Channel...Knight's Born To Hunt. I love to hunt out west and in Illinois. My favorite critters to hunt would have to be mule deer and bear. I only hunt with primitive gear..muzzleloaders and archery tackle. The name Travelin Hunter has stuck to me since I travel in access of 40,000 miles each year looking for something to level. My web site is www.travelinhunter.com.

Chapter 2. I now work for Realtree Outdoors, CVA, Alpen Optics, and will be doing 10 hunts for Summit's High Places TV show this fall that will air on The Outdoor Channel next summer.

Absolutely!!Everyone that hunts at some point in time will have the same thing happen to them and it is not a good feeling. We, hunters, are funny. I mean that we do everything in our power to make deer lives better with food plots and so on and then we try to shoot them. I guess what I am getting at is that we care for them and if we try to harvest them and do not get it done ethically is just rips our cuts out.

I was driving home this morning from Wyoming and was talking to my cameraman about the same situation you mentioned. When we were hunting my Illinois farm two weeks back I had the same thing happen to me as your scenario. I just sucks but you cannot let it get you down. Keep your head up and always do your best to make good shots!! You can do it!

Awesome!! Can I ask you something? Ever couldn't find a deer after hunting your butt off then get a shot on one and wait til next morning to go look for it and can't find it? Did it just make you want to cry like I did? Or am I being rediculus for feeling that way?

Thanks for the support and advice. It still hurts cause I didn't find my deer but with time and kind words I will be okay. Thanks Tony, Linda
