What an awful season, weatherwise. We have had storm after storm. Tried to hunt above Saratoga today...windy, rain, snow flurries. Trying again tomorrow. It's my son's last day home. He flies out at 6:00 Am Thursday. He liked the Sling A Long. Tomorrow is the Scent Drifter's turn. We located a real good spot.

Hey Back at Ya! I have been spending alot of time in the tree stand.. Been seeing a number of deer but no big bucks yet..at least NOT close enough for any shots.

The Scent Drifter has been pulling in LOTS of deer so far. I have put 4 does in the freezer and the smallest one field dressed at 117 lbs. For Indiana, that is a nice size doe. The largest went 130 lbs field dressed.

Firearms season opens this coming Saturday.. I got the muzzleloaders out and shotn a few time to check out the scopes...; STILL RIGHT ON. Heading for the woods here in a few minutes. Hope o hunt all day today, possibly Wednesday and Thursday then let the area relax until Saturday morning.

Congrats on the deer. Nothing like starting season with a deer in the freezer.

Yeah... The PRESSURE is off. NOW I can direct my attention to locating a nice buck and GET 'ER DUN!!!

I have been trying to finish up my bass tournament schedule and deer hunting has taken a back seat temporarily. That will chance within this next week. The weather SHOULD start getting cooler and that gets my HUNTING BLOOD BOILING,,,

I hope to have some photos showing the SCENTDRIFTER in place and deer responding to it..A few of the deer in the group with the doe I shot were in VERY CLOSE proximity of the SCENTDRIFTER. Like I mentioned, I had some of the WILDLIFE RESEARCH CENTER's TRAILS END 307 and deer stopped and raised their heads up sniffing the wind.
