I started hunting and fishing with my Dad when I was in grade school, maybe five or six.
My best friend growing up's family got me into camping.
I started playing golf with my Dad when I was about ten.
Since then I've spent more enjoyable times outside than in.
After having a job that limited my time for hunitng and fishing (all the way to nothing)I got back into it,so that I could take my little boy out and teach him how to enjoy the outdoors.
Now I have to sneak out to go hunting because he thinks that he's ready to go.( he's only four, so we need to wait for another year or so.)
But we are ready for a summer of fishing and camping.
I now have a little girl and I can't wait to get her out.
She's only four months old, so we've got a while yet.
I live in Chambersburg PA with my wife and two kids and yellow lab.
No deer this past weekend, had a small buck pass under me last thursday evening. We had a sunday school party here Saturday night and one of the guys called and said he had shot a pig...so we turned it into a pig pickin' party and ate pig about 10:00. When was the last time you went to a sunday school party where a group of men skinned a pigin the driveway while the kids watched? And people say my neck is red, I don't understand why.
How was the party? We had a CROSS outing Sat. am, had a great turn out. Started with 24 arrows and I think I came home with 4 1/2. Yeah a half I don't know how that happened.

I heard, well I'll be sitting in the woods for a least part of Saturday.
I went out yesterday morning and missed a nice 8 with my bow, headed back out this afternoon with a smoke stick. I'll let you know how that works out.
