I lived in Savannah for ten years...my wife is from there.Live in the N Georgia mountains now..Talking Rock, near Ellijay. We visit often, and I do some fishing with a friend from Midway off St Katherine's and all around the sounds when I do get down. I try to hunt in Ridgeland, but I have a landscape business and always get busy and have missed the SC season for the last 3-4 years. I get to hunt some private land off 95 when I get down there. I'll try to stop by Cassandra's next time I'm down...Greg

DEERHEAD,Thanks for the add.I may have caught your posts on bowsite Ill. once or twice. are you the one that does a majority of hunting on the ground? anyway, a knock out display of trophy mounts! I really wish i could live in s.e ill. and be able to study those giants on a daily basis. Please keep me updated on future pubs and articles you have out there. Thanks again, Reese

Hi reeser. Yes, I hunt mostly on the ground. I haven't posted on bowsite but I do write for Prairie State Outdoors in Illinois here in central, IL.

reeser,
HOW D'Friend,
First time I have seen someone so close to where I live,I also fish off shore whene I can't grab a gun.We fish all the turnements off of St.Simons Island.Im kind of luckey my famely has a house on St.Simons so I spend a lot of time there in the summer. But things get realy confusing there during the winter,we have marsh hens, doves, ducks,Deer, shrimp, trout I don't no what to grab the gun's or the rod's.But its a lot of fun arguing with every one on what we are going to do,I always let the elders decide just in case its a dud.

yeah i sure did, Play the wind on your new spot, if its not right dont go to it. Once i took wind and scent control to the limit my luck changed big time. Once a big one figures out your there the game is over.unless its full blown rut. good luck to ya this year!

Very true, thanks for the advice and for checking us out! I hope to hear the storie of your brute buck soon!
