i also hunt with a .270 and a .243 there both good guns.it all depends were you are hunting at,but the 30-06 is the all around best gun...or an .308.but yeah after a couple shots you cant hear nothing for a while.
i use a 30-06 too.there good guns dont it have a little kick to it tho...or are you so used to getting knocked around that your used to it..i guess breaking horses has made you a little tougher than most girls.lol....YOU GO GIRL...
sorry they say when you start getting old your minds the first thing to go.lol....i ment to say what kind of deer are you seeing..bucks or does lol.what kind of gun do you use then?
