Thank you Bro Randy! Hope you have a wonderful Christmas Holiday Season with your family and you harvest a few very special deer this year when you hunt!
God bless!
Hope the deer have given you reason to change your mind. I'm sure they wouldn't leave you for the idiot across town, would they?!
(not feeling too good all of a sudden....i wonder why?)
Ugh, man - i know what you mean. You got that sick feeling in the stomach? I've got that too. Must be contagious - I hear the illness lasts about four years.
How's your season going? Any more luck?
well, let me say this....as for my little honey hole where i was hoping for a repeat from year ago, so far i've managed to count over 60 hens, 12 does, 8 or so fawns, and a handful of squirrels. point blank, i've started out with a typical slow season here at home, but i DID go ahead and make the trip to alabama this past weekend for a 3 day hunt and brought back one even bigger than last year's personal record. i guess you could say i'm in between discouraged and satisfied. this is just me, and i'm different so i'm told, but there is simply no better harvest than one from your own hard worked and maintained personal hideaway. taking a mature, trophy caliber buck that makes you work for every inch of ground you gain up until that last breath he takes, over a 2 or 3 year stretch, is the ultimate thrill to me. that being said, i'm back to point a.....and the hunt continues saturday morning! i can hardly wait. so how are you standing at the moment? do i need to request some of your success my way?
Well, hey - that's meat in the freezer and horns for the wall any way you look at it! Congrats on your buck - and good luck nailing down one from your own stand.
Well, my luck hasn't been real good this year - I did get a buck for the first time in four years...a small forked horn, but I was just ready to get the job done this year. I'm still thrilled with him and it was a very fun hunt with my brother, so that was cool. It's been a good year for the website/video series, though - we got my buck on camera, then I turned around and filmed my brother shoot a small buck near the end of his season. And to top that off, my dad drew a once in a lifetime mountain goat tag for Idaho, and we got that hunt on camera (it's up on the website right now if you wanna check it out) and then Mom drew a once in a lifetime IDaho bull moose tag - which she shot at 11 yards with her bow - for her first animal killed with anything ever! PRetty cool - we're real proud of her and shes got the fever BAD, now!
Good luck, my friend. Hope to hear some good news come Monday!
Tom

So how'd it go??? I'm on pins and needles over here!
go ahead and use my stand this weekend while i'm away...it may just earn me a big Christmas bonus or something

Will be thinking of ya - and wishing I was there! Good luck, man. Hope to see pictures of the big daddy on the ground, soon!
we may be interested in talking to you soon.
was just thinking today about grabbing 1 or 2 more cameras (we don't have but maybe 11 or 12) but seriously we use them with dedication.
we manage deer year round and there's nothin' like seeing what you're doing. i'm siked and ready to get back in the woods first thing in the mornin'. lot of catchin' up to do in mother nature's domain.
Good deal Randy, Just yell at me. I'm glad that I'm not the only one with a least a dozen cams in the woods!
hey partner, i've been out of pocket a bit lately..hope you have had luck filling that tag.
i'm actually headin' toward alabama come middle of october on a bowhunt, but i'm seriously intending on bagging one here at home after oct 1. keep me posted and God bless!
So how's it going? Any luck? The elk have officially eluded me this year - and it is beginning to look like the mule deer might do the same! Yikes - time to do a little deer dance or something. I can't even find the little critters - touhg to bring home the venison when they won't even give me a chance!
Oct. 1 is just 1 week away.
(sounds like a song don't it?)
And a pretty good song, too if you sing it right!
