ramsky_87 Finally done with basic, stuck in San Angelo until March. Then I'm off to Wright Patterson in ohio. I can't wait.
ABOUT ME
I'm Will. I'm 21. I live in Goodfellow AFB, TX. Just a little town, but it's a good time. I like to play all sports, ride four-wheelers, hunt, fish, hike, and work. I work for the air force and I hunt as much as possible. I like to hang, camp, or party with friends. And any ladies that like to do those same things can get along great with me.
Thanks for the request man. Where did you get all those bobcats and yotes? I've done quite a bit of hunting about 15 min from Leitchfield but I've yet to see any bobcats.
Thanks for the add. Ohio Co. Cats are more plentiful than people think around here. It's just something you hardly see unless your trapping or calling specifically for them. As far as yotes go, buy you some snares and find a fence or trail to hang'm on. It's really about that easy.

Yeah i always heard everybody say 'stay off the damn refuge' lol they dont mess around if they find somebody on there. So when youre driving by the pasture, u park and walk right, like youre walkin in the direction of the main road? or you walk left and head in the direction of the river? I know the area ur talkin about parkin lol, just aint sure which way you go from there. really i only know the road on track 1, furthest ive ever walked and hunted down there was a few hundred yards
hell i aint sure, i think i drive past the cow pasture on my right side, past the barn and theres a grassy parkin spot up on the right, or the gravel road goes on and theres a parkin spot back there, but i park in the grass up on the right, i can still see the barn and trailer from where i park. does the whole tract close Oct 15th? I read those signs, but I thought it was just closed for waterfowl or somethin, I know theres a bird sanctuary somewhere back there
are you talkin about walk right up behind the barn? hell i might be thinkin of a different parkin spot. i know right before u get to the trailer and barn theres a road that splits off to the left and theres a house down there, but i pass that and split off right at the barn/trailer and park up there in the grass is where im thinkin of.
yeah itll be a cool hunt, but i know what u mean, its hard to make plans this far ahead of time. but yeah well have to go down to yellowbank sometime and check some spots out
I think I know kinda where youre talkin about, you take a right at the T where it splits, and pass the trailer and barn, thats where I usually see the game wardens truck, and the road keeps left but you split right and it takes you to a big field. i dont know where u go past that, but ive parked there and scanned that field for deer and turkey before. i went to my lease last night to set out a cam, and seen 5 bucks in a food plot about 100 yds from my stand, 2 had some nice horn already DA Outfitters is in Lewis County, over by Ohio out in Ea. KY. bout 3 hrs from Louisville. The hunt is $700 i believe, for 4 days hunt including lodge and meals. Im helpin work the big 2k9 hunt everybodys been talkin about, and Ill be helpin at that one too, it starts the day after the big 2K9 hunt
ah i see. yeah hes a wopper, Im like you though, im trying to get better with deer management. the buck i shot last year was barely big enough, i thought he was bigger, but i hadnt killed a buck in 4 or 5 yrs, i think my judgement was leanin a lil towards 'he's decent just shoot him' lol. i aint sure exactly where ur talkin about on track 1, its pretty flat from what i know about it, ive never walked it much. is it on the chenault bottom side, where the houses are? where abouts do u park to get where u hunted?
thats what i love about yellowbank, they put so much crop out there, and the lay of the land, it has awesome potential to hold some record book deer
There ya go, you oughtta be able to do pretty much anything when you get out of the military with that job. Yeah I know what u mean about the gun, if i can fit the crosshairs on his shoulder, he might as well already be in the truck bed lol
Damn i bet he was a monster, what tract did you get him on? got any pics? i like gun huntin, but i prefer huntin with a bow. i dont see deer that often anyways, but when i do, its usually up close and personal, and its a rush like no other just to get at full draw, let alone stickin one. gun gets me pumped, but nothin like a bow. yeah i imagine the marines are about as tough as they get, but i meant gettin into the air force, arent there intelligence tests and stuff u gotta pass? i know some dumbasses who made it into the marines, so entry cant be TOO tough lol
Yeah I always wanted to hunt there in the rut, but I always end up gun hunting somewhere. That buck I got last year was with a rifle, but I shot him in bow range. I actually thought about takin my bow to that spot, but decided not to. If I had tho, that buck would have shown up about 60 yds out instead of 25 lol. The only reason I joined the lease was to gun hunt and camp with my buddies, Im joinin again this year, but Im seriously thinkin about hangin the guns up and strictly bow huntin. Hell Yeah man I hear ya on the Air Force. Thats pretty tough to get into isnt it?
haha ok
