How long before the Hoyt arrives? I've been wanting to buy a new bow, but I don't know what I want. I like the Bowtechs and the Mathews, but I also think I like the looks of the Mission bows by Mathews. I also have been thinking of putting a new scope on the Browning and putting my old one on my new muzzleloader. Guess I'll just have to work a few more all nighters and get both. Whatya think?
It should be in next week! Yay!! Mitch really likes the new Bowtechs.. I think hes been looking at them. But I think since Im getting a new Hoyt he wants one too. He really likes mine.. he said if it went to 60 lbs hed get himself one! haha He just wants to be like me

I go back on call Monday. I'm pulling for one of our guys who's having surgery, so I'll get all the OT I want. We do have another all nighter coming up I think on Wed. and probably next Sat. That'll be a good start. I pull alot of call in the summer for the other guys, and they help me during deer and turkey season. Our friend coonhunter101 is fixing to start puuling call, so we'll have another person in rotation. He needs to be pulling now and getting OT, because he had a screw up today, and got a day off w/o pay! He backed into his supervisors truck with our bucket truck

What kind of arrows are you going to shoot? I,ve been using Easton ACC's for years, but I think I may go to a pure cabon this year. The ACC's are tough arrows, but I did mess up a couple this year, so I thought since I was getting low, I might as well try something else. The pure carbons are a good bit cheaper than the ACC's. I paid around $120 for the doz. a fews years ago. You cry when you mess one up, especially if you miss and do it.
I use Gold Tips. I really like the carbon arrows. Mine have held up pretty well. I just got these last summer. Theyre black, the ends are dipped white and I have black and pink blazer vanes. SOOOO cute!
I used the 3M arrow wraps and 3 3" Flourescent yellow fletches. This combo shows up good in flight for me. I used to use the Rocket mechanical haeds, but lately I've been using Wasp fixed blades. Thinking of going with Rage mechanicals this Fall. I used to only bow hunt for 2 weeks until our firearm season comes in, but I join a pretty "elite" bow only club last year, and hunted more than ever. That's why I'm thinking of upgrading my set up.
Very cool. I love bowhunting. I wish I could do that all season and get the same type of deer I do with a gun. But.. it doesnt always work that way

One of our local DJ's said said they thought he would win because of Simon's criticism last night. They said it would make Cook's fans mad enough to vote more, and that they thought Simon meant for that to happen. Maybe it did. I think my wife voted alot, and so did my girls.
Yeah that may be right. Did you hear Ryan say he won by 12 million votes. Thats alot of freakin votes! I seriously thought Archie would win just because of his teenaged fan base. I think Cook appealed to a wider audience though. Haha I am the worst Idol fan.. I never vote. Not once this year did I vote. I dont have the patience to sit on the phone all night. You know what.. I was really surprised when Simon apologized to him for disrespecting him last night. I was shocked. .
That WAS kind of out of character for him. My wife and kids sent texts, so I guess I helped pay his way in.
