Well thank you. Unfortunately the new Mark series cameras are around 8 grand...I will have to drool a little longer before that happens. lol

I dont know if the shutter on that will go high enough to stop the action. You may need quite a bit of light to do it. I actually had one of those before i bought the Canon Rebel film. They are nice cameras but once you get a SLR in your hands its hard to pick it back up. I have since then bought the Canon 30D and love it but I am drooling over the new Mark series that canon has. lol. Yeah I got big dreams. lol.

It's a Fuji FinePix 7.1 megapixel that's all digital. The adjustable shutter speed & F-stop come up on a menu screen when you put it in manual but it doesn't have a light meter. My Cannon SLR has a built in light meter.

Yes you can. What type of camera is it?

I need to find the book on my camera because I can go into manual & set the F-stop and shutter speed. I may be able to do a better job of catching/stopping the wing motion.

Awe that would have been great to catch! You gotta be on time with those guys. lol. They are apparently pretty used to you. great job
Your hummingbirds seem so fearless! The ones @ my grandparents are very skittish even though they are around them all the time. Maybe it's the breed.I will try to check out the video but my computer takes forever to load. Actually gonna try it right now!!!

It was wild when I switched the camera from video to camera because it beeped & he flew right at me to within about 2 feet from my face to look at me and then went right back to the feeder. It was to cool!

The third to last picture is absolutely adorable. It's striking a pose. I've been so busy making other people happy this past week I haven't had time to get out there with my camera or drawing pad and paints. I think i'm gonna give myself a break and draw later.

I was just using the digital in automatic. I tried putting it in Manual & playing around a little bit but when the bird flew up, I kept it in auto and/or video. It was funny to because I shot the video 1st (it's on my page) and then I switched to camera/auto and when the Hummer heard me do that, he flew right towards me, got about 2 feet away, looking at me & then flew right back to the feeder. Wish I could've caught him at 2' away. LOL!!!

Can you say Hello there Little Hummingbird!
Those are pretty good. Are you shooting with your automatic camera settings or are you using manual?
