Turkey season is among us in Maryland. Remember to stay quiet, don't move and cover up.

Spring tip: Make the lead hen fight you in your calls and she will come after you. The gobbler will chase the lead hen and that is how you get them henned up gobblers to come out and play :)

Have fun and send post up some good pics.

Hey you ol' turkey how's your turkey chasin' goin' our season opened up last night. The only thing we called in was a coyote, played with him for about a half hour. Somebody around home got one of their decoys bounced on yesterday mornin' by a coyote. Thought that was pretty funny. Been workin'alot here lately, long days, that's why I haven't been around as much, but I still check in. Takin' tomorrow off of work to do some huntin'. Stay safe ya ol' cayouse.... Until later, have a good weekend.

Hey bud...
Well it's been going pretty slow so far.
Opening day I had 3 mature birds coming to me and they were close. But they held up behind some thick brush on me. About a hour into the hunt and working these birds I heard 2 guys talking and coming my way. Well needless to say it didn't take the birds long to DD on out of there.
I had few other close encounters but nothing yet. Season is still early and I figure any day now I will close the deal on a nice Mature Bird...
But I'm having fun as always...

Good Luck to ya and don't work to hard...
