We just got through with the first split of duck season. We did very well limiting out everyday except 3. The majority of our ducks were mallards which was suprising this early in the year. Running a close second was teal with wood ducks and gray finishing up the bags. Our last 3 days were awesome with 3 4 man limits by 8am all three days. I'm compiling some of our footage and will post soon. How did you do?

Yea! Sunday was a little slow,but other than that we have limited in most blinds everyday. Alot of mallards down early. Looking forward to a 4 day weekend in the marsh.
Thats what im talking about. Opening weekend we smoked em at lacassinne reserve. Limits by 8:30.

Man, we're having a real good season so far. The early cold fronts up north pushed alot of mallards down that we normally don't get to the end of our season.

Well, as you see from my profile pic.... I won't be doing much hunting this year. I live & hunt in the Barataria Basin. I also do some out of state deer hunting. Usually Missouri and Illinois, but plan to make my next trip to either Kansas or Iowa. I'm currently working in Houston. I did a little duck & goose hunting in this area toward the end of last season. Check out the pics... We had a guide in Waller, TX.
