Turkey season is among us in Maryland. Remember to stay quiet, don't move and cover up.

Spring tip: Make the lead hen fight you in your calls and she will come after you. The gobbler will chase the lead hen and that is how you get them henned up gobblers to come out and play :)

Have fun and send post up some good pics.

I sent it, let me know if it comes through.

I did see that picture. The guys name is jim huckle. He works on the pilot boats out of lewes. It was shot right across from redden state forrest headquarters tract. He leases a piece of ground right there. It's right around the corner from my house.

Hey man you will have to get ahold of me this summer. I am always having cook outs at my house and all of my buddys come over to shoot their bows. Sometimes there is 10-12 head here shooting, drinking and eating good food. They all hunt the state park by the treatment plant. The place was my hunt club back in the day. It was called the dod farm. The state police hunt club. And it was leased from townsend. I still have permenant stands in the hardwoods behind the treatment plant.

I can send it to your email if you want but I don't your address. I didn't kill it in the field but I did hunt there a few times, including opening morning with no luck. It seems that the deer magically new opening morning not to come near that field. I only saw one small deer that morning well before shooting time ( I was there @ 3:30)and was very suprised that I didn't see more since there were tons in those fields every morning and night before the season.

My e-mail is bambeklr@aol.com. I hunt everywhere back there by the treatment plant. I stay pretty close to the marshes and swamps though.

If you want you can send it to my e-mail. Did you kill that buck on the front field by the bow only section???

If you live in Ellendale my real estate signs (exit realty)littered both sides of 16 for some time. I think I only have one home left for sale there now. Also, you have seen me on saltfish. I do hunt he same lands as you in the state park. What do you know of as far as nice bucks that have been taken out of there in the last couple years?

I figured you must hunt redden also, but I never have. I know of a guy who shot a monster out of there this year with a pistol. I think it had 14 pts, but the mass was unreal. I have a picture on my cell phone that I can send you if you don't know of the deer I am speaking of.

I havent heard of that deer. It sounds like a slob. I have seen your sighns. I live right next to the ellendale deldot yard on 16. As for big bucks killed at the parks I have only heard of a few. They said there was a big 10 killed there but I think it was in september. Atleast thats what the guy wayne that works at the park said. I saw a few nice bucks there but nothing close enough to get a clean shot.

I think we hunt some of the same land at the beach...

Where do you hunt at down there? I hunt alot of the state park around the sewage treatment plant and at the glade. I end up in redden staate forrest alot also. My home is bordered by state hunting land on 3 sides. I can literally step from my back yard onto state land in 3 directions. I recognise you from somwhere. I do alot of bowhunting down there.
