well congrats... its tough to kill a bird this late in the season..thats awesome..how big was he?

16lbs, 9" Beard, no spurs.
White cap, blue, and 2"+ Snood.
Second Tom I've seen with no spurs.
Dad got one a few years ago.

Finally joined you guys and tagged out today.
Tom snuck in the back way and would not commit to the decoy. Had to shoot out the back of the blind off angle.
Didn't end up getting the shot on film unfortunately.

hey bro, yeah thats the new double bull dark horse..its an awesome blind...we've had birds as close as 3 feet from the blind with the windows wide open and they had no idea we were inside...its well worth the $400. any luck in the turkey woods?

well i missed a tom, missjuged the yardage, 26 i shot for 20. our double bull sucks. The pole keeps falling out everytime we set it up so we glued it and that seemed to help i had 6 hens at about 5 yards never saw. then we called in a tom and he didnt like the blind and spooked, must has saw me move. when do you hunt?

me and all my buddies have double bulls, we've never had an issue... are u guys wearing all black with black head covers/cloves? we even black out the limbs on our boys... as long as your black on black and keep the windows behind you closed, you'll never get busted... we put ours right in the middle off a cut green field and the birds walk within inches of it and dont think twice. bummer about missing your bird... i have B season, ive got a 5 or 6 birds pinned down that will score mastic so i'll be trying to shoot one of them on film monday morning... my girls bird would have scored but it had a broken spur and missed books by less than a point!!!!!! anyway...good luck bro..i'll let u know if i lay the smack down on a big boy

right now im wearing a black sweatshirt with a camomask and a black hat. Im going to try the shoot threw mesh and see if that helps. Also i covered my limbs with black socks. I came close to a real nice tom this morning but couldnt seal the deal. monday morning we gunn set up and wait for him. He will for sure make mastic. good luck
