One night during the local deer hunting season a police officer was staking out a particularly rowdy country bar for possible DUI violations. At closing time, he saw a deer hunter tumble out of the bar, trip on the curb, then try his keys in five different cars before he found his. He sat in the front seat fumbling around with his keys for several minutes. All the other deer hunters left the bar and drove off. Finally he started his engine and began to pull away. The police officer was waiting for him. He stopped the driver, read him his rights and administered the Breathalyzer test. The results showed a reading of 0.00. The puzzle officer demanded to know how that could be. The deer hunter replied, "Tonight I'm the designated decoy.

A lesson in Eastern Sho'manship

An Eastern Shore man leaving the bay, was stopped by a game warden recently, with two ice chests full of live illegal sized crabs in water. The game warden asked the man, "Do you have a license to catch
those crabs?"

"Naw, my friend, I ain't got no license. These here are my pet
crabs."

"Pet crabs?"

"Yep. Every night I take these crabs down to the bay and let 'em swim

around for a while. Then I whistle and
they jump right back into this ice chest and I take 'em home."

"That's a bunch of Bull! Crabs can't do that!"

The man looked at the game warden for a moment and then said, "It's
the truth. I'll show you. It really works."

"Okay, I've GOT to see this!"

The man poured the crabs into the river and stood and waited. After
several minutes, the game warden turned to him and said, "Well?"

"Well, what?" said the man.


"When are you going to call them back?"

"Call who back?"

"The crabs!"

"WHAT crabs?"

We from the Eastern Shore may not be as smart as some, but we ain't as
dumb as most.

Hope your week is going good! When does your duck season open? It was 9 degrees this morning with a -5 windchill here. That'll move the ducks down your way for sure!

Got down to 15 last night. Highs in the mid 30s-40s. Not many ducks around though. headed for deer camp tomorrow for the weekend, so hopefully I'll stack em up and get me a big buck!

Hows it? Just checkin in with ya... I heard recently that the duck hunting should be good this year down La way... I'll be down there in a couple weeks to find out for myself. :)
