i only bow hunt. but i just got the call from my sister. she's a taxidermist in Des Moines and friends bring over deer for them every year. i guess we have 6-7 deer to process tomorrow. a lot of work but the way i see it i didn't have to buy the tags or walk my butt off all weekend. FREE MEAT!

gotta take what we can get since me and my brother are both layed off.

Sorry to hear about the lay off - times are slow for us to, we lost a lot of good people over this economic situation......

Hat's off to you for only bowhunting - I hate group hunting even though I love to get together with the gang each year which is mostly my brothers and family.

We eat a lot of venison too, usually 6 deer and an elk if I get lucky.

there's probably not many left in iowa after the last 2 weeks of shotgun season. friggen orange army up here kills everything in sight.

One of the Illinois guys on our website posted pics and a story today about a buck his cousin killed that had 8 bullet holes in it. I guess I'm a member of the orange army but at least I can shoot, I think I should be worried about friendly fire.
