HA! no lol thank God! No when i hit the ground it knocked the wind out of me for what seemed like forever but i got up and started takein my shirt of cause i felt like it was restricin me and i stood up and was glad that i could still feel everything and my back was killin me and when i caught a breathe i called a guy at the camp and him and my friend came. and i didnt know what to do so i started walkin out. they drove a truck all the way to my fourwheeler and as they were pullin up i was staggerin out of the woods and they took me to the hospital in Centreville
Man, you are scaring the hell out of me. I am a first responder here and have heard of people that have fallen or been in car wrecks that have had back injuries that didn't realize it and once they were x-rayed found out that one quick move could have paralyzed them. So glad you are okay.
thanks. but just for the record i had a safety belt on. its jus a belt that goes arond my waist. and i usually lean back against it and use the tension to hold some of my weight, well i was turning around to face the tree and my sleeve caught the buckle and looseined it up and i leaned back and it slip out and down i went
Did you have to spend the night in the woods? How did you get out?
well not exactly. it was only my second hunt of the season (oct.4) and at 8:45 i fell 25ft outta my stand and broke my back, so its been kinda slow. lol but ive been goin back to the camp and just hangin out there and cookin. ive sat on a couple stands but not for to long but i get my brace off dec 3 so ill be able to really get back out there
Holy crap, boy! I didn't know you had gotten hurt. I'm not going to preach to you because I'm sure you've gotten plenty of that. I'm glad to hear that you will make a recovery. And am also glad you're still trying to stay involved at the camp. If ever you want to just visit or hear some of my hunting stories drop by and talk to me. Sure do enjoy your company. ha! ive been at school...Havent been in the woods since before the hurricane. goin up to the camp this weekend to see the damage hopefully it aint too bad. what about you?
Been checking out some of my hunting areas, seeing lots of deer. Headed to Indian Bayou tomorrow to see what it is like. Never been there but have always wanted to.

Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you. I've been on my 7 day break and had no time for internet. Glad to be back at work so that I could rest. LOL!
