Top is the .50 caliber.
Middle is the .54 caliber.
Bottom is my favorite...the little .40 caliber longrifle.

Here are a few that go with my gear.
Top one is the "Kansas Bowie" that I had Ernie Grospitch make for me.
Second is the "French Longknife" Billy Watson made for me.
Third is my favorite little drop point Ernie made.
Last is my patchknife by Billy.

These two revolvers have sent alot of critters to their maker.
On occasion they see action in dillo town.
First pic is the 1860 Army .44 caliber (top) and the 1861 Navy .36 caliber.
Second pic is entering dillo town.
Third pic is a couple of dillo that met their maker and ended up in the slow-cooker.

Here's another place I hunt rabbits on occasion.
First pic I walk the hedgerow west til I get to the far end where the trees are and then turn north and walk the fenceline til I hit the trees in the second pic.
From there I walk the waterway east that doesn't show up in the third pic.
As you can see...just here alone me and the little longrifle have covered alot of miles together.

Was a good day it was.
The little longrifle and I took a walk to see about getting a rabbit or two and came home with more than I was planning on...picked about 85 mushrooms in the process.
Should be doing the same here in about another week.

This particular ground blind out back I cut out of a blackberry thicket a few years back.
Trim it back into shape every year...lose blood every year doing it...but the results are worthwhile.
These pics were taken from it one morning towards the end of rifle season.
Had turned off pretty cold with a good north wind and spitting snow.
The geese and I were the only things moving that morning.
Should've just been the geese...I should've been in the house.

Wasn't real productive.
Shot a doe during muzzleloading season and one during rifle season...passed on a few small bucks.
The top pic was during muzzleloading season...shot her at 40 yards with the .54 Hawken using patched roundball.
The bottom pic was during regular rifle season...shot her at 19 yards with the 45-60 levergun. The 45-60 is just a shorter version of the 45-70 cartridge...a go-getter.

On this day the one rabbit was all I saw...it came home with me.
Figured the others had more sense than me and were holed up.

Hunt rabbits pretty much year round here.
Last trip out was last week on my day off...me and the little longrifle only seen the one and it came home with me.
The rifle is a little .40 caliber flintlock that a gentleman in Georgia built for me.
Have taken alot of game with her and we've trudged many miles together.
