Well, I hunted hard the last 5 days...it was my first time turkey hunting ever. The first two days I called and helped my father and we had gobblers come into us both days. The first day one came in and stopped bout 200 yds away and would come any farther and went back into the woods. Been noticing all these nice turkeys that ya'll have harvested, congrats to you all. A tip for some of yall on a more clean removal of beards. If you grab the base beard in with hand and press against the turkey with the other and yank it off, you should get a clean beard without the skin, or you can just use a knive. Good Luck Hunters... My brother has harvested three turkeys this year. He has also missed one. On one hunt we were at one of my friends land. I spent the night there, but my brother met us ther in the morning. He was going to go to a part of the property no one had been to. Instead, he went to a road inbetween two fields. He set up a full strut gobbler decoy that we purchased.
