Turkey Beards

Been noticing all these nice turkeys that ya'll have harvested, congrats to you all.
A tip for some of yall on a more clean removal of beards. If you grab the base beard in with hand and press against the turkey with the other and yank it off, you should get a clean beard without the skin, or you can just use a knive.

My brother has harvested three turkeys this year. He has also missed one. On one hunt we were at one of my friends land. I spent the night there, but my brother met us ther in the morning. He was going to go to a part of the property no one had been to. Instead, he went to a road inbetween two fields. He set up a full strut gobbler decoy that we purchased. He put it out at about fifteen yards. omg u cant believe this my veary first turkey on today, "youth day" well a big tom came out and i got turkey feaver but 15 minets later it went a way and i felt confident enough to shoot it and he droped like a rock... Read More

this is a cool video from last year. I just started puting all my videos on line. here is one from last year. Ill give you a little background to it.

we intended to set up in this field with thoughts of just waiting the turkeys out. We set up on an oak tree in the middle of the field. When the gobbling started we were pleasantly surprised to hear a close gobble from the field edge. Upon fly down, we were coverd up. We quickly realized how little cover we had.
