Sandy Creek, Hamlin, NY Fishing

A friend and I ran across town and fished Sandy Creek, West of Rochester, NY last night from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m..I  caught about 20 small one or two-year-old trout, all under 8", most were probably 5".The water was low but flowing everywhere and the water temp was 64 degrees, too warm for the start of the steelhead run to have started. Didn't see even one. No browns either but I didn't go too far from the put-in to get to the deeper holes.Anyway, a good time.An 8-point buck cross the creek about... Read More
