Here's a picture of where I killed my 2008 buck. The yellow spots are places I could go get in stands right in that area. The blue is my truck, where I parked by the barn & walked in from. The purple spot is where I saw the big buck & the red is the path the buck took from when I heard him behind me to where he laid down in the valley.

I didn't even leave the house till 2:30 pm and headed South about 2 & 1/2 hours knowing that sunset wasn't until 7:27 or something like that. I figured that I'd go hunt this evening & tomorrow. Deer started coming out around 6:15 & I shot a couple videos I'll have to load & see if you can see the big boy that came out about 500 yards away but he was a long ways off & walking/feeding away from me so I figured I wouldn't get a shot at him... DAY ONE

And so it began, 2007 Turkey Season.
My brother had stayed the night, bunking on an old futon bed in the 'Cave' in the basement. had slept on the couch, so the alarm would not wake the wife or kids. t was 3:30a before I knew it. Never having been a morning person, it is hard to describe the effort of getting up at such an hour.
