The 8th annual Country Goes Huntin’ Celebrity Benefit hunt and concert is scheduled for March 29-April 1 in Blakley Ga. “Bringin it Back to the Camp” is the theme for this year.

“Two traditions making a difference” the concept has been very simple. CGH invites the top outdoor Television professionals as well as the top Country artists on a three day turkey hunt around the Wiregrass area ie.(southeast Alabama/southwest Georgia and North Florida), followed by an all acoustic celebrity benefit concert. So this year they decided to make the event much smaller and more exclusive.

They also have a online auction sponsored by www.camospace.com where you will be able to bid on some very exclusive items like a Realtree dipped one of a kind guitar as well as a number of hunting and fishing trips and many more unique one of a kind items. All proceeds from the sponsors, concert tickets and online auction are put into a huge pot and split amongst the CGH celebrities charities of choice. In years past, CGH has managed to make a difference in the lives of many charities such as ..St Judes Children’s Hospital, The American Cancer Society, Wiregrass Children’s Home, The Georgia Outdoors News Seeds program, Georgia Sheriffs boys ranch, Enterprise High School Tornado Victims as well as The N.W.T.F. Wheelin’ Sportsman’s which helps disabled hunters.

This year is going to be the most exclusive event held to date. With only 500 tickets being sold they won’t last long. Michael Waddell, Host of Realtree Roadtrips and The hot new show Bone Collector says..”It’s like having a backstage pass to the coolest hunting camp in the world”. Daryle Singletary, Country Artist and Rhett Akins both grew up in South Ga and agree that “This year’s event will be the most exclusive and will definitely have that small town feel being held in Blakely”.
