ABOUT ME:
I am always looking for a new adventure, and ready to go do just about anything at the drop of a hat. All I think about is shooting my bow, competing in archery tournaments, bow hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. I love road trips and hanging out with people who can make me laugh!

I have a terrible archery and bow hunting obsession. I have hunted deer, pheasants, ducks, geese, grouse and other game for nearly all of my life. We're out in the woods from dawn til dusk. If we're cold we build a fire, we don't leave the woods until after dark. Hunting is my #1 passion; I enjoy being outside no matter how cold I can sit in my tree stand all day. I am trying to plan my upcoming hunts for larger game such as black bear and grizzly bear, mountain lion, moose, elk and caribou, all to take with my bow.

In my short flying career, I have soloed in a Cessna 152 airplane. Will I ever finish my flying lessons? I haven't decided yet. I also love to ride motorcycles, there's nothing like feeling that wind on a warm summer day.

Volunteering My Time for My Community: I am an EMT-B and serve as a Lieutenant for the Illinois Medical Emergency Response Team also serving on their Safety and Communications Committee. What does IMERT do? Well, to sum it up, on-the-scene medical treatment for the State's Weapons of Mass Destruction Team and the Army National Guard, triage and medical for mass casualties and more. If you want to know more, go to www.imert.org. I served 4 years in Civil Air Patrol as a Deputy Commander, 1st Lt. and Safety Officer for the Chicago Midway Composite Squadron. I've had many adventures with my squadron, we were once the best Ground Team in the entire Illinois Wing! I have earned the President's Call to Service Award (Gold Level) for over 4,000 hours of volunteer time (over a lifetime).

I have a creative side, I love to paint. I've done mostly watercolors, but have just started learning to paint with acrylics.

I want to learn how to do everything I possibly can in my lifetime. If there's fun and adventure involved, I'm in! I want to try new things and explore new places.

I hate being in a bad mood, and will avoid it at all cost. I don't want to waste a minute of my life on negativity. I'm trying to make the best of my life and I believe in order to have the best life I could have, I need to make every minute count.

Hey I'm so sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, I haven't been on here much! I can't keep up with it all, Myspace, Camospace, Facebook!!! Who is the girl you're talking about in Illinois? You never know, I might know her?

I hope you're doing good, it's only 83 more days until Illinois bow season!! I have confirmed I am going to Pike County again this year, I think is going to be a good year!!!

f I remember right it was about flying that I was talking about?? That young lady would be Judy Wasaluski(wasa-loo-ski) or something like that. She is in Chicago working as a industrial attorney for the company I work for. She is a mountain climber, pilot and a all around cool girl!! I met her on a business trip to Seattle two years ago. The other girl I'm friends with from Illinios is Kimberly (her camospace name too) she's a taxidermist and we are on another site also. She's off exploring Myan ruins in Mexico right now. Your life sounds interesting enough, around here our bow season starts in the middle of Aug and ends in the middle of Sept. and then we wait for another year. It sucks, I hope someday to live somewhere different so I can hunt almost year round.
Deer, Elk, Hogs etc. Well I'll talk to ya later.

That ermine picture was taken in Northern Wisconsin during hunting (rifle) season. He posed for me, gave me lots of opportunities to get a good picture. Usually they are pretty fast and all I get is a blur.

Have a great day!!

Every flower has a history and every flower symbolizes something. Often the history and symbols are confusing and contradictory but they are still fascinating. If your birthday is in the month of June, your flower is the rose. Here is the story and language of your flower.

The Linguistic Roots for the Name Rose
The Latin name for the rose, rosa, literally means red. Diana Wells suggests that saying that rose means red is like saying the heart is a muscle situated on the left side of the rib cage, it is an incomplete understanding of what the blossom symbolizes.

History of the Flower
Quite possibly the most popular flower in the history of the world, the rose has a multitude of legends and myths surrounding it. A flower of such prominence must be related to the gods of our world or at least one would think so when considering the wealth of otherworldly associations attached to the blossom. Was the smile of Amor the source of our first rose or did it fall from the hair of the goddess of dawn, Aurora?

The sweet scent and frowsy beauty of the blossom resulted in it being popular among the rulers of this world. The infamous Cleopatra had her pillows filled with rose petals. Romans used petals to decorate their feasts and even had canopies filled to shower petals upon the guests. Sometimes the Romans love of roses became too much and the shower of petals would actually smother guests.

The Symbolism of Roses
Jewish legends attributed the color of the rose to the first blood that darkened the earths soil. The Teutons believed the rose was a symbol of the underworld and called their battlefields rose gardens.

Just wanted to give you a reason to smile today!

Oh yeah, Mathews all the way!!! Thanks for stopping by, yeah I keep pretty busy!

Cindy

I was checking out some of your gallery pic's today at work (better computer) I'd say you keep busy is an unstatment, but it looks as if you have a good time staying busy!!! I often wonder how different my life would be if I would have gone in the Marines when all my school buddies did. Mathews is the only bow I'll ever own, I haven't found anything that gives me the wow factor like they do!!!
Hey just by chance you don't live by Ill. do you?? I know a young lady that works for our company and she lives a life similar to yours, she's into flying and mountain climbing and all the stuff thats fun in life. I figured if you fly anywhere out of or by Ill. there might be a slim chance you'd know her!!Lol I know slim chance.
